A "Shooters Dream" has been the vision of the Redmond Rod and Gun Club and the dream is coming to pass. Our charitable organization, the High Desert Shooting Sports Foundation a 501(c)(3) has acquired 233 acres approximately 5 miles south of Redmond Oregon off of Highway 97.
Our "new" Club located at 9020 S. Hwy 97, Redmond, OR 97756 is now up and running. The "old" Club grounds on Hwy 126 east of Redmond is permanently closed. NOTE: DO NOT trust your GPS to find our new home. We have several instances where people end up at the old range,.
The following disciplines are now operational: 5-Stand, Sporting Clays, Trap, Rifle and Pistol, Archery and Cowboy Action Shooting. For a complete list of shooting hours and days, fees, membership information and directions to the Club please click on the following link to view our Club Fact Sheet, Winter 2017. You can also view daily or weekly events on the Club calendar on this website.
Rifle:The current rifle range is limited to 100 yards. We will extend that distance to 300 yards at some point in the future. We currently do not have the needed funds to expand further.
Pistol: The pistol range is 50 yards and will have intermediate berms, target holders and steel similar to what we had at the former range.
Archery: Our static archery range is operational and is located near the rifle range. Please see the Range Safety Officer for additional information.
Trap: We currently have three trap fields up and running utilizing PAT trap machines. Bring your scattergun and join the clay busters.
Skeet: Our skeet field is currently under construction, completion is TBD at this time.
Cowboy Action Shooting: Welcome to the newest addition to Redmond Rod & Gun Club. The Old 97 Railroad Rangers are shootin' up a storm. Come out to watch or join the fun. For additional information, see the web page.
Please keep in mind that we still have a lot of work to do to get our shooting facility completed. Follow signs and stay on graveled roads when moving around the grounds. And watch out for equipment and workers. If you are interested in helping with a work party, schedules and details will be posted on the "Latest Facility Updates" page of this website. If you would like to support the Club with a donation, please contact any Board member. Contact details are on the "About Us" page.
See you at the Club!
